Guru Rinpoche Stupa
St. Christophe - Valle d’Aosta, Italy
Set in the Italian Alps of Valle d‘Aosta, this Stupa dedicated to Guru Rinpoche integrates Himalayan Buddhist symbolism with traditional northern Italian materiality, uniting both traditions. The use of local natural stone, whose uneven surfaces create subtle voids and irregularities, becomes more than a material feature. They echo Guru Rinpoche’s teachings on emptiness and the space between forms, reminding visitors that true presence arises from embracing both the solid and the void.
Gifts from Kathmandu
Today, all the relics for our Guru Rinpoche Stupa arrived in St. Christophe, Italy—all the way from Kathmandu! Opening the little packages felt just like Christmas, full of surprise and wonder.
We are deeply grateful to our friends at Shechen Monastery, who carefully hand-picked and prepared every item with so much care. Their support has made this journey possible.
We can’t wait to fill the Stupa during our festive ceremony next year, celebrating together with our friends from Kathmandu. This is more than a ritual; it’s a moment of connection, devotion, and joy that we’re thrilled to share.
