Bodhisattva School

Kathmandu, Nepal

Located in western Kathmandu, the Bodhisattva School aims to offer quality education to 300–360 students, with a strong focus on equality and access for children from underserved communities. The design creates spaces that nurture confidence, encourage expression, and foster unity.

Given the limited site, the building footprint is kept compact to maximise outdoor areas where students can learn and play freely. Guided by the principles of Contemporary Contextual Architecture, the project blends modern construction standards with lessons from Nepal’s rich building traditions. The goal is to create a safe, culturally rooted, and climate-responsive school that reflects both resilience and belonging.
